YOGA, with BMC & CONTINUUM
Unfolding Body: A Divine Play of Flux and Form
Thurs, Sept 15, 8-9:15am and Sat, Sept 17, 8-9:15pm
Take your yoga practice to a new frontier of creative experience!

The process of human movement arises out of our biological connection to the life of the sea. The
diverse fluctuations and motility of our fluid origins are still available to us in the fluid system and
connective tissue of our bodies. In these sessions we will play with the archetypal shapes or forms of
primary yoga asana as evolutionary portals in the web of life forms. Finding our oceanic origins, the
development of life forms, even the developmental movement of babies underlying yoga asana can give
new vitality and meaning to practice. Here yoga poses can be experienced as gestures, living questions
born of the Great River of Life. This approach unfolds the classical still life of a pose from your own
experiential inquiry. First, by activating the fluid dynamics in the body through the breath and sound
and intrinsic motion experiments of Continuum Movement to prepare the asana. Then, with various core
shaping, dissolution and reshaping potential of the fluid dynamics.

In these morning sampler classes for SOMA FEST, Deborah will focus on the sun salutation and the
open trail.......
