SKINNER RELEASING®
2 Part Intensive:  Wed/Thurs, 9/17-18, 7-9:30pm
Skinner Releasing Technique (SRT) uses imagery, sound, and hands-on tactile studies to
facilitate a deeper kinesthetic experience of movement. It is based on the principle that by
releasing tension and habitual holding patterns we can move more freely and articulately. In
the classes, spontaneous dancing evoked by imagery enables students to explore technical
principles such as multi-directional alignment, suppleness, economy, and autonomy while
simultaneously tapping into the imagination and cultivating the creative process by
integrating and engaging the whole self. SRT heightens the senses, allows our ideas to
expand, and lets our dancing grow.
