Teri has been deeply influenced by various movement and healing forms, which have
helped transform her life.  Various athletic injuries, life's micro-traumas and mercury
poisoning from removal of dental fillings brought about a deep weekening in her 'biosystem'
as she approached the age of 40.  These drawbacks focused her study and research of the
body and its flows, cultivating a personal understanding of its mysteries and possibilities.

In her youth she participated in athletics, including gymnastics and a serious pursuit of  track
& field which led to a college scholarship.  She found dance at the age of 19, at the
University of Wisconsin, where she began devoting herself to developing the technique and
choreographic craft of the field.

Since that time she has received a B.F.A. and a Masters in Dance, and has studied with
visionaries in the fields of dance, movement and health.   Expanding from a foundation of
athletics and dance technique, she has worked with artists in the fields of movement
improvisation, somatic movement, martial arts, and body centered therapies.  Teri is
honored to have worked with such visionaries as Emilie Conrad of Continuum Movement™,
Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen of Body-Mind Centering®, Internal Martial Arts Master Su Dong
Chen, Steve Paxton and Nancy Stark-Smith of Contact Improvisation, and Simone Forti of
Post-Modern Dance, all innovators an masters in their fields.

A long time practitioner of body centered arts and sciences, and an advocate for
